At Outboard Repower Shop, we strive to make your purchase of used outboard motors, refurbished outboard engines, repower kits, and marine accessories as seamless as possible. We offer free shipping on all orders within the United States and a simple $150 flat rate for international orders to select countries. This policy provides clear, transparent details on our shipping process so you can shop with confidence.
Please note: Outboard motors and large items are heavy and oversized, so we use specialized packaging and trusted freight carriers to ensure safe delivery. Every item is carefully inspected before shipment, especially used and refurbished motors, to guarantee it arrives in the described condition.
1. Order Processing Time
- Orders are processed within 1-3 business days (Monday–Friday, excluding U.S. holidays) after payment confirmation.
- Orders placed after 12:00 PM MST or on weekends/holidays begin processing the next business day.
- You will receive an order confirmation email, followed by a shipping notification with tracking once your package leaves our warehouse.
- During peak seasons, processing may take up to 5 business days—we’ll keep you informed of any delays.
- Custom repower kits or specific used/refurbished motors may require additional preparation time, which will be noted at checkout.
2. Shipping Rates
- Domestic Shipping (All 50 U.S. States, including Alaska and Hawaii): FREE on every order, regardless of size or weight. No minimum purchase required.
- International Shipping: $150 flat rate to select countries (including Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom). This rate covers standard freight handling for most items; extremely large or heavy orders may require an additional quote (we’ll contact you before processing).
- All rates are in USD and exclude any applicable taxes, duties, or customs fees.
3. Shipping Methods and Carriers
- Domestic: We use reliable carriers such as UPS, FedEx, USPS, or specialized freight services (e.g., T-Force Freight, XPO Logistics) depending on item size and weight.
- Heavy/Oversized Items (outboard motors, repower kits): Shipped via freight with careful crating. Freight deliveries require a physical street address (no P.O. boxes) and may include liftgate or residential service if selected.
- Signature Requirement: Required for high-value orders (typically over $500 or containing complete engines) to protect against loss or theft.
- We choose the most efficient and safe carrier for your order. Shipments are FOB Origin (title passes to you when the carrier takes possession).
4. Estimated Delivery Times
- Domestic (Contiguous 48 States): 3–7 business days after processing.
- Small parts/accessories: 2–4 business days.
- Outboard motors/large items: 3–10 business days (freight transit varies).
- Alaska & Hawaii: 5–14 business days.
- International: 8–21 business days depending on customs clearance.
- These are estimates only. Weather, carrier volume, or customs processing may cause delays beyond our control. We’ll provide tracking so you can monitor progress.
5. Shipping Restrictions and Requirements
- U.S. Domestic: Ships to all 50 states. Oversized items cannot ship to P.O. boxes or APO/FPO addresses.
- International: Available only to approved countries listed at checkout. Additional countries may be accommodated upon request—contact us for a quote.
- Address Accuracy: Please verify your shipping address at checkout. Incorrect addresses may incur re-routing fees or delays.
- Hazardous Materials: Certain items (batteries, oils, etc.) are subject to carrier restrictions and will be noted at checkout.
6. International Orders – Customs & Duties
- The $150 flat rate covers shipping only.
- You (the recipient) are responsible for all import duties, taxes, VAT, customs brokerage fees, and any other charges imposed by your country.
- These fees are typically collected by the carrier upon delivery. Refusal to pay may result in the package being returned or abandoned, and return shipping costs will be deducted from any refund.
- We recommend checking your country’s import regulations for marine engines before ordering.
7. Tracking and Delivery
- Every order receives a tracking number via email as soon as it ships.
- Freight deliveries may require scheduling with the carrier—we’ll coordinate as needed.
- Upon Receipt: Inspect your shipment immediately. Note any visible damage on the delivery receipt and photograph it. Report issues to us within 48 hours so we can file a claim.
8. Insurance and Lost/Damaged Shipments
- All shipments are fully insured for the purchase value.
- Damaged Items: Contact us within 48 hours with photos. We’ll handle the carrier claim and arrange replacement or refund.
- Lost Items: If tracking shows no movement for an extended period, we’ll trace the shipment and replace or refund as appropriate.
- Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the item(s).
9. Returns and Shipping
- Refer to our separate Return & Refund Policy for return eligibility.
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable except in cases of our error. Return shipping labels are provided for approved U.S. returns when applicable.
