At Outboard Repower Shop, your satisfaction is our top priority. We stand behind the quality of our used outboard motors, refurbished outboard engines, repower kits, and marine accessories. This Return & Refund Policy is designed to be clear, fair, and customer-friendly, giving you peace of mind when shopping with us. By placing an order, you agree to the terms outlined below.
Please note: Due to the specialized nature of marine engines and parts, all items are thoroughly inspected and tested before shipment. We encourage you to review product descriptions, condition reports (especially for used and refurbished motors), and photos carefully before purchasing.
1. Return Window
- You may return most items within 30 days of the delivery date for a full refund or exchange.
- For new, sealed accessories and parts (e.g., propellers, controls, gauges), we offer an extended 60-day return window.
- The return period begins on the date the item is delivered to you (as confirmed by carrier tracking).
2. Eligibility for Returns
Items must meet the following conditions to qualify for a return:
- The item is unused, in the same condition as received, and in original packaging (where applicable).
- For outboard motors and engines (used or refurbished): The motor must not have been mounted, fueled, run in water, or modified in any way. Seals, tags, and protective packaging must remain intact.
- Includes all original accessories, manuals, condition reports, and documentation.
- Not damaged due to misuse, improper handling, or installation attempts.
- Certain items are non-returnable for hygiene, safety, or custom reasons:
- Electrical components (once installed or wiring altered).
- Custom-ordered or specially fabricated repower kits.
- Hazardous materials (oils, fuels, batteries).
- Items marked “Final Sale” or “As-Is” at the time of purchase.
3. Money-Back Guarantee
- We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on eligible returns. If you’re not completely satisfied, return the item in qualifying condition and receive a full refund of the purchase price (excluding original shipping charges).
- Refurbished and used outboard motors include a minimum 90-day satisfaction promise: If the motor does not perform as described within 90 days of delivery, contact us for return authorization and resolution (refund or replacement, at our discretion).
4. Refund Process
- Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you by email of approval or rejection.
- Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 5-10 business days of receiving the item.
- Refunds include the purchase price of the item(s). Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (wrong item shipped, defective upon arrival, or not as described).
- No restocking fees are charged on standard returns.
5. How to Initiate a Return
- Contact Us First: All returns require prior authorization. Email sales@outboardrepowershop.com or call +1(954) 833-5970 (Mon–Fri, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM MST) within the return window. Provide your order number, reason for return, and photos if applicable.
- Receive Return Authorization: We’ll issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and instructions.
- Package Securely: Use sturdy packaging (preferably original) to prevent damage in transit. Include the RMA number clearly on the outside of the box.
- Ship the Item: Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the return is due to our error (in which case we’ll provide a prepaid label).
- We recommend using a trackable, insured shipping method.

- Inspection Upon Arrival: We’ll inspect the item within 3-5 business days of receipt and process your refund if approved.
6. Exchanges
- If you’d like to exchange an item (e.g., for a different horsepower or model), follow the same return process. We’ll help you find the right replacement and ship it once the original is received and approved.
- You pay return shipping; we cover shipping on the replacement item (U.S. only).
7. Defective or Damaged Items
- Damaged in Transit: Inspect your shipment upon delivery. Report visible damage to the carrier immediately and to us within 48 hours with photos. We’ll file a claim and send a replacement or issue a refund.
- Defective Upon Arrival: If an item is defective or not as described, contact us within 7 days of delivery. We’ll arrange a prepaid return label and full refund or replacement.
- Warranty Claims Beyond 30 Days: Used and refurbished motors include a minimum 90-day limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship (under normal use). Contact us for warranty service—repair, replacement, or refund options available.
8. Cancellations
- Orders can be canceled for a full refund if requested before the item has shipped.
- Once an order has shipped, it falls under our standard return policy.
9. International Returns
- International customers may return eligible items within 30 days, but return shipping costs (including customs fees) are your responsibility.
- Original shipping charges and any duties/taxes paid are non-refundable.
- Refunds will be issued in USD and may be subject to currency conversion fees from your bank.
10. Policy Updates
We reserve the right to update this Return & Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with the updated effective date.
